Rehabilitation Specialists is now offering aquatic physical therapy. This program is coordinated through our Grandview clinical facility in partnership with the Grandview Community Center (“The View”). The services will be offered by licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants.
The aquatic environment provides buoyancy, gentle resistance and gentle compression which can be beneficial during the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries or surgical procedures. By reducing stress on the body, aquatice therapy provides a speedy transition to land based functional exercises to expedite the employee's full return to work activities.
Who Benefits:
Post surgical cases - particularly knee and shoulder surgeries
Musculoskeletal injuries - especially patients who are overweight and are struggling with land based exercise programs
Acute neck and back injuries or patients with global pain complaints who have difficulty participating in land based exercise programs
