Directions to the Clinic:
From I-29, take the I-435 East exit to I-435 South. Take
the Front St. exit from I-435 South. Turn west on Front St. Turn
right on Universal. OHS-COMPCARE is in the Executive Park Building
on the right side of Universal behind the QuikTrip in Ste. 110.
There is plenty of free parking at the door to the office building.
Clinical Facility Personnel
Sr. Facility Medical Manager:
Daryl L. Thomas, M.D.
Dr Thomas is board certified by the American Board
of Internal Medicine. He is experienced in occupational medicine,
emergency medicine and internal medicine. Dr. Thomas is a graduate
of the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He also completed
a post graduate internal medicine residency at the University
of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Thomas is a certified MRO and
experienced in Department of Transportation medical evaluation
requirements. Dr. Thomas also does IME and Disability exams.
Clinical Facility Manager:
Pam Hirshberg, BA, MS
Ms. Hirshberg is the Regional Operations Administrator for OHS-COMPCARE.
She has nearly 25 years experience in managing occupational medicine and
physical rehabilitation medical centers.
Ms. Hirshberg is responisble for the day to day operations of all the
facilities and is directly managing the Front Street facility with
Dr. Thomas.
Ms. Hirshberg has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Masters in Education from the University of Illinois

After Hours Injury Care
OHS-COMPCARE - Independence location is open until 10pm Monday through Friday
Statistics show that cases that are aggressively managed from
the day of the injury resolve faster and cost less and are less
likely to involve litigation. Let the OHS-COMPCARE on-call physician
help you manage those injuries from the start. For after hours injuries,
contact the clinical facility and ask for the physician on call
to be paged.
For life or limb threatening emergencies call 911 or proceed to the nearest
emergency room then contact the OHS-COMPCARE physician on-call through the
answering service by calling any of our clinical facility phone numbers.
After Hours Drug Screens
For after hours drug screens, call the clinical facility and ask
for the after hours collector to be paged. The collector will go
on-site to an employer's campus or meet the patient at the emergency
department.
Urgent Care
OHS-COMPCARE is now offering Adult Quick Care conveniently located within each
OHS-COMPCARE location. Adult Quick Care provides urgent care services for
Adults and Adolescents Age 14 and Older.
